New Patient Exams

New patient exams usually occur at your first visit to the clinic. The new patient exam involves a more in depth conversation, x-rays, an oral health scan may be performed. The new patient exam can be done by a dentist or dental therapist.

Emergency Appointments

Emergency Appointments are for new or existing patients and can be performed by a dentist or dental therapist. A painful or broken tooth or swelling can be considered dental emergencies.

Routine Check Ups

Routine Check-ups are usually performed annually, with the use of x-rays, and can be done by a dentist or dental therapist. This may occur together or separately from a dental hygiene visit.

Hygiene (cleanings)

Dental Hygiene visits, or cleanings, are a preventative treatment that help to keep the gums, bone and teeth healthy. A dental hygiene appointment is with a dental hygienist.

Children's Dentistry

Children’s dental appointments can be for check ups, cleanings, fillings, extractions, emergencies, etc. and can be performed by a dentist or dental therapist.

Nitrous Oxide Sedation

Nitrous oxide sedation is available for children and adults who have dental anxiety. Nitrous oxide is administered by a dentist.

Fillings

Fillings, or dental restorations, can be performed by a dentist or dental therapist.

Crowns & Bridges

Crowns can be recommended to restore existing teeth that are broken, have large existing fillings, or have had a root canal procedure. Bridges can be done to replace existing teeth. Crowns and bridges are done by a dentist.

Extractions

Extractions are performed when a tooth needs to be removed. Extractions can be done by a dentist or dental therapist.

Endodontics

Endodontics, or root canal procedures, and performed in order to keep a tooth that is no longer vital, or to restore a tooth that is badly broken done. Endodontics are done by a dentist.

Referrals for Complete & Partial Dentures

We offer referrals for complete and partial dentures. The dentist will work closely with your denturist to create the best treatment plan for you.

Implants

We offer referrals to a specialist for the placement of dental implants to replace missing teeth. After a dental implant(s) is placed, a crown or dentures are used to replace the missing teeth. This final step is done by a dentist or denturist.

Cosmetic Dentistry

Cosmetic dentistry can involve veneers, crowns, bridges, invisalign and whitening. Cosmetic dental procedures are typically performed by a dentist.

Whitening

Teeth whitening is available to improve or enhance a person’s smile. Our take home whitening kits can be prescribed by a dentist, dental therapist, or dental hygienist.

I am an Invisalign provider

Invisalign is an orthodontic procedure using clear aligners (retainers) to move the teeth into a better position for health, function, and appearance. Invisalign is treatment planned by a dentist and most appointments are with a dental assistant. Please note that orthodontic treatments at Green Leaf Dental are done by a general dentist and not an orthodontic specialist.
